Some Guys Have All the Luck – The Rod Stewart Story

Telling the story of Rod Stewart’s life and career, Some Guys Have All the Luck stars Paul Metcalfe and features a live band. The show takes audiences through the story of Stewart’s life, from his humble beginnings to his success as a solo artist. Steward has sold more than 100 million records worldwide.

The first half of the show walks the audience through Stewart’s early career in the 1960s through his success in the 1970s. Audiences will hear songs from his early days, including “In a Broken Dream,” “Handbangs & Gladrags,” “Ohh La La,” “Stay With Me,” and “Wear It Well.”

The second half of the production features a spectacular Rod Stewart concert, which splendidly replicates his stage presence and showmanship. Audiences will hear his top hits, including “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy,” “The First Cut is the Deepest,” “Tonight’s the Night,” “Baby Jane,” “Sailing,” “Maggie May,” “You’re In My Heart,” and more.

Viewers say they’ve never seen an imitator mimic Stewart’s style so effectively.

Paul does an amazing job of imitating Rod Stewart’s stage presence and energy. Every show ends with dancing in the aisles, and Paul kicks a slew of signed footballs into the crowd.

The production is touring the UK, with stops in Newcastle, Liverpool, Weston, Stafford and more. Dates are planned through October of 2018.

Born and raised in London, Rod Stewart is one the best-selling artists of all time. He has had six number one albums in the UK and 62 hit singles. Among those, 31 reached the top ten and six reached the #1 position. In the US, Stewart has had 16 top ten singles. Four top singles reached the top spot on the Hot 100 chart.

Stewart rose to fame in the 1960s and 1970s, and his career is still going strong. He was named the 17th most successful artist of all time on the Hot 100. He has also won several Grammy Awards and Brit Awards.

Stewart was ranked #59 on the Rolling Stones 100 Greatest Singers of All Time list and #44 on Q Magazine’s Top 100 Greatest Singers of All Time list. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994, and the UK Hall of Fame in 2006.

In 2016, he was knighted in the Birthday Honours for his services in charity and music.
